Feel the heartbeat of South First Street
The shops at 2209 and 2213 S. First St. are celebrating their new name: El Corazon. As in the heart of South First Street. New boutiques Bella Blue and the Opera House have joined the Stash, Happiness, End of an Ear and Vanilla Girl on this blossoming strip. Join them Saturday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. for festivities with live music. Bella Blue, which opened in October, carries jewelry, local fine art, hand-sewn clothes, vintage clothing, bath and body products, housewares and pottery. The Opera House, which will be celebrating its grand opening, offers vintage and handmade clothing, accessories and small antiques. The owner plans to host clothing swaps, sewing workshops, variety shows and other community events.
